Nala Living was born during a trip through Asia.

Nala Living was born during a trip through Asia.

During one of my many scooter rides in Bali, I, Christy, came across markets full of unique, handmade home accessories. There, I met local makers and was invited to watch them at work. Bead baskets threaded by hand and wall bowls woven from natural materials. Everything made with an incredible amount of care and craftsmanship.

We sent a box full of those special items to the Netherlands. Once home, it turned out there was a lot of demand for them. This started with friends and family, but soon spread to others who saw the products and became curious. This interest got me thinking, and that is how Nala Living slowly but surely grew into the brand it is today.

All items are made using natural materials and traditional techniques.

The personal touch

The name Nala Living was chosen because Nala has always been a favorite girl's name. A name that is timeless and simple, and therefore fits our collection well. This gave our brand a personal touch.

Today, Nala Living stands for unique, handmade home accessories from Indonesia and Morocco. All items are made using natural materials and traditional techniques by artisans who have often passed down their craft for generations. Authentic items that add something extra to your interior. With our collection, we also contribute to fair partnerships with the makers and a sustainable future where quality comes first.

This is how our collection is handmade

Our entire collection is handmade by local artisans in Indonesia and Morocco. Using natural materials, traditional techniques, and above all, a great deal of care, the most beautiful home accessories are created.

We still find it remarkable to see how much work goes into every item. Beads are applied one by one, baskets are hand-woven, and even the smallest details are finished by hand.

Sometimes at home, you focus primarily on where something looks nice, but there is an entire creation process behind every such home accessory.
